Agilent Labs
One of the consequences of Agilent Technologies splitting from Hewlett-Packard was that Agilent Laboratories split from HP Laboratories. In late 1999, production began on a brochure that included a CD-ROM to communicate their contributions to Agilent Technologies.
This CD-ROM application would be used showcase the people and facilities of Agilent Laboratories to potential new hires, partners, and investors.
The IntroDesigns team began production by conducting interviews with key Agilent Laboratories personnel including the Chief Technology Officer of Agilent, the Director of the laboratories, all the laboratory directors, and representatives from all other areas.
The finished CD-ROM application included the following:
- One hour of digital video clips featuring the people, processes, and facilities of Agilent Laboratories
- Windows and Mac operation
- Opening animation
- Animated timeline highlighting accomplishments from 1966 to 1999
- Links to web sites
Of the four primary factors that affect product launches (time, resources, quality, and scope), scope was driving factor for this project. The intent of the CD-ROM application was to provide an experience to the viewer that simulated a tour of the actual facility.

The title of the application was "Technology Making Dreams Real". IntroDesigns used technology to present the people and facilities of Agilent Laboratories to a global audience.
Note: This project was done with Mark Hart as the project lead while working for IntroDesigns.
